Linear, code-based data workflows might be perfect for self-contained data science teams, but they can also exclude collaborators from data exploration and development. This results in siloed analyses that miss out on valuable domain expertise from stakeholders, and end products that rot away because they haven’t been customized to meet the needs of specific users.
Our session introduces Observable Canvases, a new way of working that encourages data teams and business users to work together — visually, iteratively, and collaboratively.
Attendees will learn how canvases help BI teams move faster from raw data to long-lived dashboards by:
- Encouraging non-linear data exploration with interactive, performant charts — no matter the size of your data
- Flexing between UI, AI, or code to wrangle and visualize data across the canvas
- Bringing everyone together in one place for richer and more efficient collaboration
- Making dashboard development a natural extension of your data analysis, for faster delivery and easier upkeep

In this talk, we'll take a look at Apache Superset, the Apache Software Foundation (ASF)'s #1 project by GitHub stars, and learn about the features and flexibility that make it the leading tool for data visualization in the open-source data stack. We'll talk about what it does, how it works, and how it's built.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so why do we have to look at tables with a thousand cells of text?
In this session, we’ll explore the Great Tables package for Python, a powerful tool for creating clear, polished, and publication-ready tables.
We’ll also dive into gtExtras, an extension package that lets you embed small plots directly into your tables bringing your data to life, one cell at a time. Whether you’re building reports, dashboards, or presentations, these tools will help you turn tables into a powerful medium for data storytelling.
Finally, we’ll showcase inspiring and creative entries from the 2025 Table Contest, celebrating what’s possible when data and design come together in tabular form.

This session introduces Omni, a next-generation BI platform designed to harmonise data governance and empower business user self-service. You will see how Omni provides a governed semantic layer to ensure all metrics are consistent and trusted. Upon this foundation, Omni delivers a flexible, multi-modal analytics experience that empowers every user to work their preferred way—whether through Excel-like formulas on live data, an intuitive drag-and-drop UI, SQL coding, or trusted, context-aware AI.
Join this remote presentation and live demo to see how Omni:
Enhances Trust and Collaboration: A universal semantics layer that integrates seamlessly with dbt.
Delivers Governed Self-Service: Unifies multiple ways of working (drag & drop, excel, SQL, AI) on a single, trusted data model.
Provides AI You Can Trust: Leverages its semantic layer and AI context to provide accurate, context-aware answers.
